BOLT 4 FREE – BE A BOLT DESIGNER

We want to have a garment or a fashion accessory in the new Lightning Bolt Spring|Summer 2011 Collection signed by you!!!
And, besides, we want it to be the item that all surfers will want to have.
If you want to be the author of the next Lightning Bolt’s best seller item, send us the design for a piece of clothing or fashion accessory or only the print/design/illustration for standard article (t-shirt, long sleeve, sweatshirt, backpack, boardshort, rash vest). You just have to be sure that any surfer will want to buy it!
There’s no limit for your creativity, except the fact that your proposal will have to be attractive and inspiring for as many surfers as possible in the shops.
The best idea will be part of our production next year and sold in all European countries where Lightning Bolt is selling is collection.
To be our newest invited fashion designer, you have to show us, and to our fans, why do you deserve it.

Obs: On Facebook you’ll have to send jpg or png formats. If you wish to send us files in other formats (AI, Freehand, Photoshop, etc) afterwards, send them to:
info@lightningbolt.eu.com.
Who wins?
Choosing the winner will depend on the number of fans of your idea and, also, on our opinion. The decision will be taken upon:
The fans’ votes on each idea: the one who gathers more “I Like this” and positive comments – 50%
The Lightning Bolt’s crew opinion – 50%

BOLT4FREE – Winners and Results

 
The second edition of BOLT4FREE is now over.
For this giveaway we challenged our fans to help us breaking a Guinness Record, and lots of ideas emerged.
And our Facebook fans were in charge to choose the winners, so we didn’t have any interference on the decision. The winners were the ideas that had more “I like this” and positive comments.
The struggle for the first place was really tough as the winner got ahead the second place for only one vote more.

Now we leave you with the three prizewinning participants and their ideas.

First Place - Francisco Guerra Lourenço

“Fulfill the invisible borders that define the countries in the world with the biggest number of volunteers. Wearing Lightning Bolt clothes and holding the new surfboards, we will show what best defines Lightning Bolt (dedication, union, comfort, adrenaline and inner peace). Create a tribe spirit and promote the sport development and so the Lightning Bolt awareness”

“All the surfers and all those that have Lightning Bolt surfboards, all together, make a surfboard line along all the Portuguese coast. With that, all Portuguese beaches would have a surfboard barrier, and so Portugal would be limited (west and south) by surfboards and by Spain (east and north)“

Third Place - Tiko Fé
“My idea would be to get the biggest number of surfers on the same wave riding a barrel”
Tiko wins a High Voltage Kit Sony/Lightning Bolt: Sony mp3/mp4 walkman + exclusive silicon cover + backpack with walkman pocket.

The winners will be contacted in two weeks (maximum).

Congratulations to the winners and thanks to all participants, as we had many good ideas of all kinds: social responsibility, environmental, pure party, associations with Usain Bolt and even using surfers parachutists.

Soon we will launch the third edition of this giveaway.

Bolt Magazine – The third issue – Printed and online version

The third Bolt Magazine issue is now ready and already flying to reach all the surfshops in Europe where we sell our products.
In this issue we highlight our team riders surftrip to Nicaragua, where they surfed the big waves of Iguana beach and Popoyo in the pacific coast.
Also great are the Autumn-Winter pictures, taken in the southwest coast of Portugal (Costa Vicentina) and in one of the best portuguese surf spots, Guincho, close to Lisbon.

In California we interviewed Dustin Franks, the charimastic soul surfer and songwriter and now our ambassador in USA.
We still got time to hear some stories of Dorian "Doc" Paskowitz, the famous American surfer who follows a very unconventional, even polemic for some, way of living, and in Portugal we were lucky to photograph the charming Rita Andrade.
Don’t miss also the new french team rider profile, Jeremy “Jeje” Brasset and lots of other news that are describing the Bolt track in the last semester.
This issue is free and will be available in all the shops that sell Lightning Bolt products.
