Lightning Bolt goes to Bread & Butter

BREAD & BUTTER is Europe’s strongest and most important trade show in the Street and Urbanwear sector.
After four very successful years in Barcelona, BREAD & BUTTER has now returned to its home town Berlin – a city full of creativity, innovation and future. The event is coming up, the countdown is on. Less than one week from now, BREAD & BUTTER will open its doors in the new location, the former airport Berlin-Tempelhof.

For the first time this year, Lightning Bolt will be presenting the Spring-Summer 2010 Collection.
There’s a lot of novelties in our clothing, namely new lines. But you will have to wait till then so you can unveil all.

Here classic elements of surf take on a different face. The traditional iconography of surf is fused with stripes, geometric designs and vibrant colour combinations, keeping a comfy and loose fit.

Tees, board shorts, trousers and walk shorts feature a classic approach of surf, with accurate fit and high quality materials.

The collection expresses the relaxing attitude and the free state of mind of those who love to surf for fun and want to live each day.

To shoot this collection, Peru was the ideal place. We had our team riders, we had good waves, we had the best mojitos and we had the perfect models

Spring|Summer 09 - Mens Collection - Funky

Surf and street pop iconography, manual sketches and rough drawings, glued ideas onto 80s graphs and gadgets inspired the raw and irregular expression that characterise all items.

80’s moods and electric fluo colours combined with light-pastels are these season’s features. Music, mythic brands, objects and graphics are reinterpreted and printed on a street wear and urban collection, with a mix and match attitude.

Tees and board shorts are the key items.
